Make Bible Study Fun and Engaging
Learning God's word can often-time seem boring and confusing. This is especially true when we struggle to understand what the inspired words that were written by the authors of the books are relating to us. Thankfully, suppose you have difficulty understanding one version of the bible, there are many others versions, other than the King James, written in a form that the average reader can more easily digest. I gain a greater understanding from using the New International and the Amplified versions of the Bible, but I often refer back to the King James version.

I find the New Testament a little easier to read than the Old Testament. Like the Old Testament book of Genesis, the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, are written in story form, while the majority of the rest of the New Testament is a composition of letters from the various church leaders to the new and struggling churches of the first century after the death of Jesus.
The focus of the Old Testament is the history of how the world was created, the exodus of Israelites, and the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God. Also included are real-life stories. It teaches the reader by looking at the experiences of people throughout history, and it foretells the arrival of the Messiah and the end of the world.
We find that the New Testament focuses more on the life and teachings of Jesus and the Christian church. It discusses the importance of the sacrifice of Jesus and leads people to follow the example of Jesus more closely.
If we truly engage ourselves in reading, learning from, and applying the life applications based on God’s inspired Word as written by His followers, what do you think the world would look like today?

When we make Bible Study a fun experience rather than the “same-old”, or maybe even boring experience, more people will likely become actively involved in engaging the Word of God. Studying the Word of God is a whole different proposition than simply reading. Our Heavenly Father wants to be in a relationship with us, He wants to speak into our lives, and He wants to give us His wise counsel. Becoming an engaged reader, and studying His Word, is just one step towards developing this relationship.
