Sterling & Copper w/Hearts Handcrafted Cultured Pearl Pendant
Sterling & Copper w/Hearts Handcrafted Cultured Pearl Pendant
This one-of-a-kind copper and sterling silver pearl pendant is set with a 10mm AAA-quality cultured button pearl. When designing a piece I use contrasting, but complementary, colors of metals in various forms to stimulate and draw the viewer’s attention. This piece incorporates mini-floral and cobblestone pebble impressions in the metals. To further enhance and give it its unique handmade appearance, rather than soldering, contrasting copper/sterling silver wire and tube rivets are used for connecting the metals. You can rest assured that your purchase is a one-of-a-kind creation. Each of the pieces from my Signature Jewelry Collection is hallmarked and bears my registered trademark (ALCJR®).
As I enter into the year 2021 the main focus of my jewelry business will be pearls and creating one-of-a-kind pearl jewelry for those who desire heirloom-quality pieces uniquely design for consumers with discriminating taste. I have spent most of the year 2020 increasing my knowledge of pearls, nature’s gift to the world created by living organisms. I have published a FREE downloadable eBook to help educate consumers about the nature of real pearls. Join my mailing list to be notified whenever one of my new creations is available for sale. A Cultured Pearl is formed in the same process as a natural pearl. The only difference is that the process begins with human intervention. An irritant is purposely inserted inside the mollusk (oyster) causing it to produce the layers of nacre that form the cultured pearl. Natural pearls are a rarity and extremely costly! To make a single well-matched pearl strand, it may take many thousands of oysters (mollusk) to get a reasonable match in color, luster, nacre thickness, size, and roundness. Almost all pearls found in the market today are cultured.
Our Pearl Quality Standards
Grade |
Description
|
---|---|
Grade A Pearls | Pearls that typically have irregular shapes or are semi-round. Small spots, markings, or imperfections are visible on their surface, but may not be easy to see at a distance when worn. Although they usually don`t have the best luster, some A-grade pearls can still look good. |
Grade AA Pearls | AA graded pearls have 80% good luster and are relatively clean, without significant or noticeable imperfections. There may be some flaws or slight blemishes, but these are few and typically only revealed upon close inspection. |
Grade AA+ Pearls | High luster pearls with a 90% clean surface. There are hardly any significant or noticeable imperfections, and they are inconspicuous even upon close inspection. These pearls are a great value since they represent an amazing cross-section of price and quality compared to the higher grades. |
Grade AAA Pearls |
Pearls with excellent luster, and have a surface that`s 95% free of any blemishes, spots, or imperfection. These are the highest grade of pearls in the "A" Grading Standard that you`ll be able to readily buy. |
Gem Graded Pearls |
After the AAA grade, these will be the fancy names that each store has for its own best pearls. This category includes the absolute best quality pearls. Although no pearl is absolutely perfect, these pearls are as close to perfection as can be reasonably expected. |
