14k GF Mounted AA Quality Peanut Cultured Pearl w/Jade and Black Onyx Stones

Sometimes, acts of nature can create amazing, unique and beautiful variations in pearl development in the mollusk. Such is the case with this exclusive design peanut pearl pendant. It is just one quality rating down from the AAA Quality rating of every piece in ALCJR Enterprises’ Signature Jewelry Collection. Only AAA Quality (see grading scales below) Pearls are used in our Signature Jewelry Collection. This peanut pearl exhibits excellent luster and a very good surface quality, but lacks the near flawless surface quality we demand in our Signature Jewelry Collection. The center-mounted 5mm Black Onyx stone is set in 14k GF. The bail and included 18” 1.6mm Oval Chain are also made of 14k Gold-filled. Unlike plated jewelry, gold-filled jewelry contains an actual layer of gold that’s “pressure bonded” to a core metal using pressure and heat. Gold filled pieces legally need to feature 1/20 or 5% of gold by weight. In terms of karat, the gold layer on this jewelry piece is 14k. This piece is hallmarked and bears our registered trademark (ALCJR). If you desire a piece that is “as unique as you”, look no further!

A Cultured Pearl is formed in the same process as a natural pearl. The only difference is that the process begins by human intervention. An irritant is purposely inserted inside the mollusk (oyster) causing it to produce the layers of nacre that forms the cultured pearl. Natural pearls are a rarity and extremely costly! To make a single well-matched pearl strand, it may take many thousands of oysters (mollusk) to get a reasonable match in color, luster, nacre thickness, size and roundness. Almost all pearls found in the market today are cultured.

Our Pearl Quality Standards

Grade
Description
Grade A Pearls Pearls that typically have irregular shapes or are semi-round. Small spots, markings or imperfections are visible on their surface, but may not be easy to see at a distance when worn. Although they usually don`t have the best luster, some A grade pearls can still look good.
Grade AA Pearls AA graded pearls have 80% good luster and are relatively clean, without significant or noticeable imperfections. There may be some flaws or slight blemishes, but these are few and typically only revealed upon close inspection.
Grade AA+ Pearls High luster pearls with a 90% clean surface. There are hardly any significant or noticeable imperfections, and they are inconspicuous even upon close inspection. These pearls are a great value since they represent an amazing cross section of price and quality compared to the higher grades.
Grade AAA Pearls

Pearls with excellent luster, and have a surface that`s 95% free of any blemishes, spots or imperfection. These are the highest grade of pearls in the "A" Grading Standard that you`ll be able to readily buy.

Gem Graded Pearls

After the AAA grade, these will be the fancy names that each store has for its own best pearls. This category include the absolute best quality pearls. Although no pearl is absolutely perfect, these pearls are as close to perfection as can be reasonably expected.
